In Memoriam: Sea Bright-Raised, Former Longtime Little Silver Resident, Barbara Waters, 89

Sea Bright-raised former longtime Little Silver resident, Barbara J. “Babs” Waters, of Toms River, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 4, at home and surrounded by family. She was 89.

Services were held on Sept. 8 and 9.

Being raised in Sea Bright, she “developed a lifelong love for the beach. She instilled this love in her children, first by taking her toddlers on the bus from an apartment in Red Bank to Sea Bright, and later by organizing beachfront family dinners. Summer days at S.B.B.P. and then Ship Ahoy beach clubs produced some of her favorite memories of joyous times with family and friends …
Before marrying, Barbara had been to only two states, but she ultimately traveled the world, visiting six continents and
seeing many of the world’s iconic sites.”
