When it comes to raising funds for the Rumson St. Patrick’s Day Parade, the parade board always scores big.
It’s recent 2024 Erin Open Golf Outing and Pickleball Tournament was no exception. Held on Friday, Sept. 27, at the Rumson Country Club, the day, starting at 7:30 a.m. for golfers and 11 a.m. for pickle ball players was replete with coffee, a Bloody Mary bar, shotgun start and lunch at the club’s River House.
The event offered a day’s worth of camaraderie for the parade cause, which boasts a large local celebration Irish heritage “and provides charitable gifts to local organizations improving our community,” the parade website’s mission statement says.
And, according to the board and the moments captured in photos, all sponsors, players and volunteers involved made the golf outing and pickleball tournament “a resounding success!” a statement on social media said.
