The following September arrests were reported by Rumson police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
Arrests
• Robert Ellis, 36, of Highlands, was arrested in the area of Rumson and Willowbrook roads on Sept. 30 and charged with contempt of court by Patrolman James Camilleri.
• Michael Gambino, 42, of Highlands, was arrested in the area of Bingham Avenue and Blackpoint Road on Sept. 29 and charged with possession of certain prescription drugs by Patrolman James Camilleri.
• Daniel Kane, 33, of Shrewsbury, was arrested in the area of Rumson and Willowbrook roads on Sept. 28 and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) by Patrolman James Camilleri.
• Shane Harrington, 42, of Rumson, was arrested in the area of Forrest Avenue and Narumson Street on Sept. 27 and charged with contempt of court by Patrolman Logan Keefer. He was turned over to the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office.
• Cotino King, 42, of East Orange, was arrested in the area of Rumson Road and Club Way on Sept. 26 and charged with contempt of court by Patrolman Logan Keefer. King was remanded to the Monmouth County Jail.
• On Sept. 22, police received a 911 hang-up call at headquarters from a Meadowbrook Avenue resident. On arrival patrols advised that a bullet hole had been located in a rear sliding door of the home, likely related to an earlier call reporting what sounded like gunshots. Detectives from the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office responded to assist with the investigation. Terry Haupt, 42, of Red Bank, was arrested and charged with the unlawful possession of and certain persons not to have weapons. Haupt was remanded to the Monmouth County Jail.
• On Sept. 13, police responded to complaints of a loud party on Warren Street. Multiple juveniles possessing alcohol were present. Salvatore Taddeo, 57, of Rumson was issued summonses for maintaining a premise for unlawful conduct and maintaining premises for underage consumption of alcohol.
