A Monday night accident that resulted in the death of a male bicyclist is under investigation, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced on Wednesday.
On Oct. 6 at 7:05 p.m., Neptune Township police responded to the intersection of Corlies Avenue (Route 33 West) and South Main Street (Route 71) on a report of a crash involving a bicyclist and a motor vehicle.
The male bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation involving members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART), and the Neptune Township Police Department remains active.
