A Halloween reprise, just because it’s an all-time favorite photo of costumed Rumson besties …

Are you a good witch or a bad witch? Which witch is which? Either way, or both, the rain never falls on some of the best of times between best buddies. And it all starts when they’re growing up together like these two little witches with lots of magical moments ahead.

At R-FH Retro, we’re always looking back best of friends and good times in the Rumson-Fair Haven area. So, today’s Retro Pic of the Day emulates how it all starts — with a buddy and a fun day together.

This one doesn’t go way back, only to October 2014 and Rumson’s Halloween festivities, parade and costume contest in Victory Park. It just more than a decade ago and these two have likely hit high school and probably even graduated already. Time flies like a speeding Halloween witch on a high-octane broomstick, doesn’t it? 

In that moment 11 years ago, they just exuded besties forever — the twin costumes, the laughs and the simplicity of forging a lifetime friendship. They seemed inseparable and terminally cute.

They couldn’t drive anything but their play broomsticks yet, so a future pic heading on the road for a joy ride may be the next Retro Pic of the Day in another five or 10 years. Broomstick, anyone? In the meantime, we’ll leave them to making more bestie memories.
