A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder and weapons possession offenses in connection with an April fatal shooting that claimed the life of another 19-year-old man, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced on Friday.
The 19-year-old accused, Jordan I. Glisson, of Asbury Park, has been charged with: one count of first-degree murder, one count of second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon (handgun) and one count of second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

On Tuesday, April 8, at 4:25 p.m., Asbury Park police responded to the 1100 block of Atlantic Avenue on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim, later identified as Ah’kim Esdaile, 19, was rushed to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
An investigation involving members of the MCPO Major Crimes Bureau and the Asbury Park Police Department resulted in Glisson being identified as the suspect.
Glisson was located and arrested on Monday, July 14, by members of the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Task Force and the Asbury Park Police Department. Glisson was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) where he is being held pending his initial appearance in Monmouth County Superior Court.
