“Irene was an avid reader and was never without a book and several books as back-ups. She was an aggressive walker, logging 2 miles each morning at dawn, and enjoyed hikes in local parks with family and friends. Irene was a devoted Sunday School teacher and loved working with children. She enjoyed her travel adventures with her husband to various European countries and to Arizona and neighboring states to visit her daughters. She was a natural caregiver, assuring the comfort of her family, friends, pets, and her many houseplants. Irene volunteered at Calico Cat, a charity thrift store in Middletown, NJ, and was an active member of the Lincroft Presbyterian Church.”
