Longtime Shrewsbury resident, Edna M. Pratt, passed away on March 31 at Riverview Medical Center. She was 101.
Born in Mineola, NY, Edna had lived in Shrewsbury for more than 70 years.
Edna married Isaac H. Pratt in 1946 and had three children. She became supervisor of the Mathematics Department at Monmouth Regional High School where she taught for almost 30 years. Edna received many awards during her career in teaching and published two mathematics books.
Edna is predeceased by: her husband, her parents, brother, two sisters, and son-in-law.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Pratt (wife Shirley), Elizabeth Napolitano, and Barbara Pratt; her grandchildren, Jennifer Pratt Johnson (husband Fred Johnson), Robert Pratt (wife Leah Storer), and Rebecca Pratt; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Shrewsbury Presbyterian Church or any favorite local charity.
