“Gretchen was a warm and caring person. She could be counted on by family and friends in times of need. Gretchen enjoyed her summers at Monmouth Beach Club at the Coleman Cabana. She especially enjoyed her dinners at the Navesink Country Club with Peter and the Lewis Lane Crew. She spent hours volunteering at Lunch Break in Red Bank. Gretchen was always dressed impeccably well. She loved her fall walks in her corduroys, cable knit sweater, down vest and Gucci loafers. Most importantly, Gretchen took the utmost pride in being a wife, mother and grandmother. She was  known in Fair Haven for a smile on her face and a ‘pep in her step.'”
