It was tea time on Sunday in Fair Haven. Rather than a day of rest, the day was full of America 250 festivity at the Smart Start Preschool venue with a good, old-fashioned tea party. Fancy that!
The patriotic dress-up-and-play party was replete with: tea, of course, in a 250th Anniversary blend, hat-festooned ladies who lunch, finger sandwiches, locally-sourced scones and macarons, patriotic bingo, DAR ancestry assistance, a hat contest, specialty area vendors, raffles, soap-making mavens and a lot of the spirit of ’76.
The non-profit Foundation of Fair Haven hosted the event with a little help from their Daughters of the American Revolution divas and other patriotic friends.
With that special blend of tea, friends, fun and patriotic tradition all in one spot, a good tea time was had by all. See for yourself with our photo gallery glimpse into the afternoon … (Click on one photo to enlarge and scroll away!)
