Fair Haven Police: Car Burglaries, Attempted Thefts on the Rise Again

Both Fair Haven and Red Bank police have issued alerts and advisories pertaining to the latest spike in car burglaries and attempted thefts.

With no vehicles stolen, police warned that several unlocked cars in both boroughs had been accessed and rummaged through. A Fair Haven resident had also posted a Ring video of alleged similar attempts at their home.

While Fair Haven police did not disclose where the burglaries, and/or attempted burglaries and thefts had taken place, Red Bank police, in their alert, said that the burglaries had occurred near the Fair Haven border.

As always, police reiterated that residents must take precautions to stave off burglars and car thieves, such as being vigilant about locking cars and homes, keeping valuables out of vehicles and keeping home lights on as deterrents.
