DWI Checkpoints Set for All Weekend in Shore Towns

It’s shore time for DWI checkpoints this weekend, Two are running in seaside towns from north to south in Monmouth County.

Through 1 a.m. on Saturday at Route 71 south and Crescent Place, all vehicle traveling south will be directed into the parking lot of 700 Route 71.

There, Sea Girt police and DWI Task Force members will screen drivers for sobriety.

On Saturday, starting at 8 p.m. …

Through midnight, at 1085 Ocean Avenue, the intersection of Route 36 north and River Street, vehicles traveling north on Ocean Avenue will be directed into that spot, the Sea Bright Municipal Parking Lot at the public beach.

There, Sea Bright police and Monmouth County DWI Task Force members will screen drivers for sobriety.
