A late summer DWI checkpoint is set to kick off the weekend tonight, The Monmouth County DWI Task Force announced.

On Friday, Aug. 21, in Sea Girt …

Starting at 8 p.m. and running through to midnight on Saturday, all southbound traffic traveling on Route 71 will be diverted into the parking lot at 700 Crescent Place.

There, Sea Girt police and Task Force members will screen drivers for sobriety.
