An area teacher has been charged with the possession of an illegal weapon, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced on Thursday.
Kevin J. Hasbrouck, 36, of Point Pleasant Beach, a teacher in Neptune Township, has been charged with a single count of a fourth-degree weapons offense after being found to be in possession of a knife.
On Feb. 3, Neptune police responded to Neptune Middle School on a report of a weapons investigation. The investigation revealed that a large stainless-steel knife with a black handle was found in Hasbrouck’s desk drawer.
