The following June arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction. Note: DUI is a motor vehicle offense in the state of NJ.
• Laura Pennell, 30, of Brick, was arrested in the area of Newman Springs Road on June 28 and charged with driving under the influence of drugs/alcohol (DUI).
• Manar Elkader, 21, of Holmdel, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on June 28 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs (DUI).
• Jason Shawn, 40, of Middletown, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on June 18 and charged with being a fugitive from justice.
• Nelson Diaz, 57, of Long Branch, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on June 13 and charged with possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia and two contempt of court warrants for violating court orders.
• Jerri Jimenez-Barrios, 24, of Manasquan, was arrested in the area of Broad Street and Patterson Avenue on June 13 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs (DUI).
• Michael Rucki, 63, of Neptune, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on June 13 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic syringe for use with CDS.
** Police reported four arrests solely on contempt of court warrants. **
