Police Report: Credit Card Fraud, DWI, Drug Possession

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• There was a report of credit card fraud on June 12 in the area of Saks Off Fifth on Broad Street. The victim reported an unknown person or people attempted to make purchases with a fraudulent credit card.

Patrolman Ralph Latham is investigating.

Arrests

• Bruce B. Bentsen, 68, of Belford, was arrested on June 20 in the area of Sycamore Avenue and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Sgt. Tracy Polk.

• Dennis L. Messias, 38, of Hollis, NY, was arrested on June 13 and charged with identity theft in the area of Broad Street by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro.

• Charisse S. Harris, 35, of Brooklyn, NY was arrested on June 13 in the area of Broad Street and charged with knowingly using a stolen credit card by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.

• Jarre A. Walker, 27, of Bronx, NY, was arrested on June 16 in the area of Broad Street and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) by Patrolman Ryan Cullinane.

• Angel L. Ramos, 33, of Bronx, NY, was arrested on June 16 in the area of Broad Street and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) by Patrolman Ryan Cullinane.

Contempt of Court

• Joshua A. Cavalieri, 26, of Lacy, was arrested on June 24 in the area of Sycamore Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Marrero.

 

• Douglas Decarlo, 34, of Eatontown, was arrested on June 22 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Mary Ellen Rumola.

• Ieterrah L. Grimes, 24, of Asbury Park, was arrested on June 21 in the area of Sycamore Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Marrero.

• Shavonne B. Hamilton, 36, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 18 in the area of Sycamore Avenue by Patrolman Mary Ellen Rumola on a contempt of court (COC) warrant.

• Stive Lahens, 24, of Asbury Park, was arrested on June 17 in the area of Sycamore Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warranty by Patrolman Ralph Latham.

• Selina M. Lester, 31, of Red Bank, was arrested on June 14 in the area a Sycamore Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.
