In Memoriam: Shrewsbury Resident, RBC Grad, Phil Lanigan, 71

Shrewsbury resident, Philip J. Lanigan, passed away on Friday, Dec.1, surrounded by his family. He was 71.

“Phil was a man of endless humor and always had a smile on his face. His love of golf was short lived here on Earth but he will surely make up for it now. He will be forever missed by
his family and friends.”

He was born March 20, 1952 in Waltham, MA. After moving to and being raised in the area, he graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School (RBC). Phil was co-owner of Lanigan Associates, Inc. in Tinton Falls for more than 40 years.

He is predeceased by his daughter, Valerie Danielle, and his parents, William and Dorothy Lanigan.

Phil is survived by: his wife. Elizabeth; his son, Christopher (Mollie) and granddaughter Parker Quinn Lanigan; his sister, Kathleen Kocen, of Fair Haven; his brothers, William (Kathy) Lanigan, of Dryden, NY, John Lanigan, of Oak Hill, VA and Joseph Lanigan, of Shrewsbury; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the graveside service on Friday, Dec. 8, at 11:30 a.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. A repass at the family home in Shrewsbury will follow. In lieu of flowers please donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at https://www.stjude.org/donate.
