Red Bank resident, Sebastiano “Nino” DeFelice passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones, on Feb. 26. He was 96.

“Nino was born on Jan. 13, 1927, to Lorenzo and Ada DeFelice in Conca Della Campania, Italy. After many adventures, he came to the USA and soon met the love of his life, his bride,

Nino was predeceased by: his parents; his sisters Leslie and Clara DeFelice; and his son, David Ortiz.
He is survived by: his caring and beloved wife; his son, Daniel Ortiz (Sigrid); daughter, Adria Maritza Dillon and (Bill); the grandchildren he absolutely adored, Alison Velea and great granddaughter Adeline, Janine Ortiz, and Kevin T. Smith (Inna) and their son William; his sister, Assuntina Teolis, of Italy, and many more family members.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, March 3, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. A mass of christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 4, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church, 121 Bridge Ave., Red Bank, followed by entombment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown.
