Red Bank resident Mary Elizabeth Stacker, formerly of Shrewsbury and Colts Neck, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 3, after a six month battle with cancer. She was 71.

“A true warrior, she passed at home knowing how much she is loved by her daughters. A kind and selfless person, Mary was the center of her family and she leaves her fierce spirit as her legacy, amongst countless happy and wonderful memories. She relished creating beauty around her as a talented floral designer for many years, with many shops throughout the area. Mary is predeceased by her parents, John and Dorothy Sharp, and her granddaughter, Sydney.
She is survived by: her devoted daughters, Kari Ann and Dori Katherine Stacker, and her granddaughter, Starr.
Family and friends may attend a memorial gathering on Friday, Dec. 9, at John E. Day Funeral Home, from 3 to 8 p.m. A service will commence at 5 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by family eulogies at 6:30 p.m.
