In Memoriam: Longtime Red Bank Resident, Peggy Enyart, 76

Margaret “Peggy” Enyart died peacefully at home on Aug. 18. She was 76.

“After her family moved to Red Bank in 1957, Peggy graduated from St. James Grammar School, Red Bank Regional High School and Brookdale Community College. Peggy had many hobbies, including collecting Barbie Dolls and Beanie Babies in her younger years; she loved the interchange of pleasantries between buyers and sellers of Beanie Babies online.”

Peggy was born in Trenton near the home of her maternal grandparents, Regina Kelly and Clarence Weber.  She spent her early years in Trenton where she attended Blessed Sacrament School. 

Peggy loved her job at the Garden State Parkway Executive Offices in Woodbridge, which later merged with the New Jersey Highway Authority, where she worked for 35 years. “She belonged to their bowling league and was active in attending and enjoying the many anniversary and retirement parties.”

Peggy was predeceased by: her mother, Regina “Bernice” Enyart.

She is survived by: her sister, Mary Enyart, of Middletown; and her cousin, Marilyn Smedley, and her husband, Gerald, and son, David, of Croydon PA.

There will be a visitation on Tuesday, Aug. 22, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Bridge Avenue, Red Bank, and an interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown.
