In Memoriam: Former Longtime Little Silver Resident, 30-Year Police Officer, Kevin Tuohy, 69

Former longtime Little Silver resident, police officer, Fire Department and First Aid Squad member, Kevin Francis Tuohy, more recently of Middletown, passed away, “bade farewell to this mortal world and (has) embarked on hi next grand adventure” on Sept. 20. He was 69.

“Kevin was a true force of joy and laughter in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him … Kevin touched so many lives. With grace and humor, he helped many people in their times of need. He never found a stray animal that he didn’t bring home—and he would make it a family mission to find a new home for any that could not be reunited with their owners. Kevin was famous for his stories, and he had one for every occasion. He was Santa Claus on Christmas Eve, delivering gifts to the children of Little Silver from the town’s fire truck, and a great big Frankenstein hanging out on his front lawn on Halloween, Kevin truly loved giving back in so many ways to everyone that he could.

“Kevin’s memory will forever be etched in the
hearts of his beloved family.”
