Focus: Reuniting with the RFH Class of ’82

What a great way to celebrate our 40th RFH reunion. Thank you to a plethora of classmates for traveling long distances back to our hometown for an epic 4 days of togetherness, laughs and a few tears … RFH Class of ’82 ROCKS!” ~ Joanne Distefano Garelli, RFH Class of ’82 Reunion Committee member

It’s been a little more than 40 years since the Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) Class of 1982 did the Pomp & Circumstance graduation walk.

And this past extended weekend, a good showing of classmates showed up to celebrate those four decades gone by with four days, one for each decade, if you will, of reuniting.

A spectacular time was had by all, as classmates tell it with nostalgia in their hearts and smiles on their faces, as the photos offering a glimpse into the reunion tell.

The class kicked off the four-day RFH fest with a visit to, of course, the classic RFHers’ hangouts. It started on Thursday night with a trek to Barnacle Bill’s in Rumson and Tommy’s Tavern & Tap in Sea Bright. Friday was Donovan’s Reef and Murphy’s Tavern night. Saturday was the main event at Shrewsbury Sailing and Yacht Club in Oceanport. The four-day tour of reminiscing and reuniting was capped with a bon voyage lunch at Bahr’s. Phew!

Take a look at the photo gallery below (AND click to enlarge and scroll!) for a glimpse into the gala reunion. Many thanks to RFH Class of ’82 members for the photos from various classmates. Sorry if we missed anyone. There were many classic moments captured.

Cheers to the RFH Class of ’82!
