June 26 update:
The message couldn’t get much clearer. Rumson police have been stressing it for years and more recently have repeated it and taken it to the streets. Now Fair Haven police have joined in: Lock your cars!
The rash of high end car theft and burglaries in the Rumson-Fair Haven area is back. It’s happening at all hours of the day and night, police say. And police in both boroughs have said and continue to stress that while it’s easily preventable, people have ignored their advice for years.
So, now from Fair Haven police, for the umpteenth time …
