A DWI checkpoint is set to kick off the weekend in Monmouth County tonight, the Monmouth County DWI Task Force announced via the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.

Starting at 8 p.m. and running through midnight, all traffic traveling north on Route 36 will be diverted into the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Route 36. There, Task Force members and Union Beach police will screen drivers for sobriety.
