Curtain to Go Up on RFH Tower Players’ ‘Frozen Jr.’

Call it a cool production.

The curtain goes up Friday on the Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) Tower Players in their fall musical production of Frozen Jr.; and the show will run through Sunday.

With the book by Jennifer Lee and music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, the show is a stage adaptation of Disney’s popular film.

This production brings the kingdom of Arendelle to life with RFH students.

The story follows two sisters, Anna (Mary Grace Cosgrove) and Elsa (Dakota Diehl), whose bond is tested when Elsa’s hidden powers of ice and snow set off an unexpected winter across their land.

Determined to bring back summer and reconnect with her sister, Anna sets off on an epic journey joined by rugged mountain man Kristoff (Charlie Snider), his loyal reindeer Sven (Lily Boidman), and the ever-optimistic snowman Olaf (Reagan Gaborow). Along the way, they meet the charming Prince Hans (Ambroise de Quillacq) and discover that true love can warm even the coldest heart.

The musical is known for songs like For the First Time in Forever and Let it Go.

The Tower Players are working with an award-winning creative team again this season. Advisors are: KasiAnn Sweeney, director; Anthony Preuster, assistant director; Amanda Gorfain, musical director; Donna Battaglia, choreographer; Kevin Gunther, technical director; Catherine Cleary, costume and props designer; and Sue Wankel, play production coordinator.

The show will run from Friday, Nov. 21 through Sunday, Nov. 23. For tickets, click here.
