Sobriety check points are back and running steadily in Monmouth County through summer weekends.
The Monmouth County DWI Task force is required to notify the public of where and when the stops will occur. This weekend, there are checkpoints in Monmouth Beach and Bradley Beach, DWI Task Force Coordinator and Allenhurst Police Chief Michael Schneider has advised.
On Friday night through Saturday morning, the checkpoint will be conducted at Route 71 and Lake Terrace in Bradley Beach from 10 p.m. on Friday through 2 a.m. on Saturday.
On Saturday night through Sunday morning, the checkpoint will be held at the Monmouth Beach Cultural Center on Ocean Avenue from 10 p.m. on Saturday through 2 a.m. on Sunday.
At each checkpoint, each town’s officers will funnel traffic through the spot and work with Task Force members to determine drivers’ sobriety.
