Summer is coming to an end; but, DWI checkpoints are not. There are two this weekend, The Monmouth County DWI Task Force has announced.
The DWI Checkpoint Details
On Friday, Aug. 22, in Sea Girt …
Starting at 9 p.m. and running until 1 a.m. on Saturday, all vehicles traveling south on Route 71 will be diverted into the Sea Girt Professional Building parking lot.
There, Sea Girt police and Task Force members will screen drivers for sobriety.
On Saturday, Aug. 23, in Wall Township …
Starting at 10 p.m. and running through to 2 a.m. Sunday, all vehicles headed west on Route 138 will be diverted onto Maxwell Road.
There, drivers will be screened for sobriety by Wall police and Task Force members.

During both checkpoints, members of the Task Force will work alongside local police officers for the duration of each event.
