Baseball isn’t the only sport of the spring season. So is golf.
And, back in the 1970s, the team was a tad smaller and its fearless leader was George Giffin. This troupe of golfing guys also danced a mean cha-cha in Giff’s dance class of the Saturday Night Fever disco days in the ’70s.
So, in addition to teaching them how to golf, he taught them how to properly twirl a girl on the dance floor and, maybe, even toss her over their shoulders in a bit of a hippy hoopla.
Here’s a Giff kinda question: Which dance step that he taught do you think would bode best on a golf course? Music? Hey, it’s all about getting the beat and moving the feet when talking about Giff.
