Three juveniles are facing charges stemming from a July murder. One is facing the murder and associated charges, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced.

Two of the juvenile defendants, whose names are being withheld due to their age, are currently being held at a juvenile detention center.

The charges brought against the juveniles stem from a July fatal shooting in Keansburg of 28-year-old Paco M. Moore. One of the juveniles has been charged with murder, attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and possession of a community gun. The second juvenile has been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and possession of a community gun. 

The third juvenile was served with a juvenile complaint for hindering the apprehension of another and was released to a guardian pending future family court proceedings.

The case background …

At 8:56 p.m., Keansburg police responded to a 911 call for a shooting incident on the 40 block of Carr Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered Moore suffering from a gunshot wound. 

Moore was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An investigation involving members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau and the Keansburg Police Department is currently ongoing.
