Prosecutor: Monmouth County Woman Facing Attempted Murder, Weapons Charges

A Monmouth County woman is facing attempted murder and weapons charges after hitting a juvenile with her vehicle on Monday night, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni said.

Vicky L. Smith, 52, of Wall, was arrested and charged with with first-degree attempted murder, third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon after the incident at 7:38 p.m. in the area of Central and First avenues in Wall Township on Monday.

The incident stemmed from an alleged earlier dispute between the juvenile and the Smith family.

The juvenile was taken to Jersey Shore Medical University Hospital for non-life threatening injuries and released.
