Prosecutor: Monday Accident that Hospitalized One Man Under Investigation

A serious Monday accident in Wall that sent one man to the hospital with multiple injuries is under investigation, Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced on Tuesday.

On Monday, Jan. 20, at 11:01 a.m., Wall police responded to the intersection of Route 34 and Airport Boulevard for a two-vehicle crash.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a male driver was operating a 2012 Ford F-250 traveling south on Route 34 when a collision with another male driver operating a 2024 Black Kia Forte occurred.  

As a result, the driver of the Forte was taken to a local hospital, where he is being treated for multiple injuries.

The driver of the F-250 remained on scene.

No charges or summonses have been issued with regard to the incident at this time.

An investigation involving members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART), and the Wall Township Police Department remains active and ongoing.
