An area man has been convicted of crack cocaine dealing and possession charges, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced on Monday.
Following a one-week trial before Monmouth County Superior Court Judge Jason Rockwell, 50-year-old Timothy Bethea, of Tinton Falls, was found guilty by a jury on charges of: second-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance in an amount in excess of one-half ounce with the intent to distribute, and third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Detectives from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics and Criminal Enterprise Unit Gang Task Force conducted an investigation of Timothy Bethea in early 2023.
On March 12 of that same year, police executed search warrants for Bethea and his home on Carol Court. Bethea was found to be in possession of more than 60 grams of powder and crack cocaine.
Bethea faces a term of up to 20 years in state prison when he is sentenced on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026.
