Police Report: Theft, Lewdness, DWI, Fraud, Drugs, Forgery, ID Theft

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• There was a report of theft by deception in the area of Beechwood Drive on Oct. 31. The victim reported that $400 was wired to a fraudulent company posing as JCP&L.

Patrolman Angel Marrero is investigating.

• There was a report of credit card fraud in the area of Broad Street on Oct. 29/ The victim reported someone making fraudulent purchases.

Patrolman Joseph Barnicle is investigating.

• There was a report of criminal mischief in the area of Broad Street on Oct. 26. The victim reported that property was damaged.

Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro is investigating.

• There was a report of forgery in the area of Broad Street on Oct. 26. The victim reported that an unknown person attempted to alter checks.

Patrolman Mary Ellen Rumola is investigating.

• There was a report of identity theft in the area of Broad Street om Oct. 21. The victim reported that an unknown person used someone else’s identity to make fraudulent returns.

Patrolman Ralph Latham is investigating.

• There was a report of criminal mischief in the area of Patterson Avenue on Oct. 18. The victim reported that property was vandalized.

Sgt. Tracy Polk is investigating.

• There was a report of identity theft in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Oct. 16. The victim reported that an unknown person used someone else’s identity to open accounts.

Patrolman Angel Marrero is investigating.

• There was a report of a shoplifting in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Oct. 12. The victim reported that $103.44 worth of merchandise was stolen.

Patrolman Tyler Fox is investigating.

• There was a report of a shoplifting in the area of Broad Street on Oct. 11. The victim reported that merchandise was stolen.

Patrolman Derek Myers is investigating.

• There was a report of a shoplifting in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Sept. 28. The victim reported that merchandise was stolen.

Patrolman Tyler Fox is investigating.

Arrests

• Bryan C. Kozusko, 32, of Eatontown, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Oct. 29 and charged with lewdness by Sgt. Tracy Polk.

• Michael P. Giovaniello, 46, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Oct. 29 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.

• Steven M. Goode, 58, of Long Branch, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Oct. 29 and charged with assault by Patrolman Derek Myers.

• Tatiana L. Ostergaard, 33, of Highlands, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Oct. 19 and charged with shoplifting by Sgt. Tracy Polk.

• Shakiir K. Richardson, 26, of Neptune, was arrested in the area of Sycamore Avenue on Oct. 16 and charged with theft by Sgt. Tracy Polk.

• Hahn H. Duong, 61, of Eatontown, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Oct. 13 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Ralph Latham.

• Katie A. Dykstra, 29, of Colts Neck, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Oct. 5 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.

• Desmond H. Lewis, 58, of Oakhurst, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Sept. 29 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro.

• Nicholas J. Suozzo II, 37, of Howell, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Sept. 28 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Sgt. Matthew Clark.

**Police reported six arrests solely on contempt of court warrants.**
