The following August criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Red Bank police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
Criminal Incidents
• An incident of criminal mischief — graffiti — in the area of Leighton Avenue was reported on Aug. 31. The garage of a residence was tagged with blue paint.

• An incident of criminal mischief — graffiti — in the area of Bank Street was reported on Aug. 31. A utility pole was tagged with black paint.

• The theft of front and rear license plates from a vehicle in the area of W. Westside Avenue was reported on Aug. 22.

• An incident of criminal mischief — graffiti — in the area of Bellhaven Park was reported on Aug. 13. Multiple pieces of playground equipment were tagged with blue paint.

• An incident of criminal mischief to a vehicle in the area of Riverside Avenue was reported on Aug. 10. The owner reported the front passenger side tire of a vehicle had been slashed. The tire was valued at $500.

• The theft of a package from the front of a Shrewsbury Avenue residence was reported on Aug. 8.

• The theft of $1,000 in cash from an office in the area of Broad Street was reported by an office manager.

• A incident of criminal mischief — graffiti— in the area of River Street was reported on Aug. 6. An employee reported multiple pieces of construction equipment were tagged with orange in color spray paint.

• An incident of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle in the area of River Street was reported on Aug. 4. An employee reported multiple construction vehicles were vandalized.

• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of Broad Street was reported on Aug. 4. An employee reported an individual walked into the restroom of a business and broke the toilet tank by smashing it on the floor.

• The theft of a carton of cigarettes from an East Front Street business was reported on Aug. 1.

Arrests
• Ignacio Rojas-Rojas, 48, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of W. Westside Avenue on Aug. 27 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI).
• Jaime Palacios-Rivera, 46, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Oakland Street on Aug. 24 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Darren McConnell.
• James Clark, 56, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Newman Springs Road on Aug. 23 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and contempt of court by Patrolman Jeffrey Lewandowski.
• Lester Reiff, 69 of Wayside, was arrested in the area of Maple Avenue on Aug. 21 and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Grace Maggiulli.
• Malcolm Saunders, 29, of Neptune City, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Aug. 21 and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest by Patrolman Preston Mellaci.
• Jyshon Presley, 20, of Long Branch, was arrested in the area of Monmouth Street on Aug. 21 and charged with credit card theft and fraudulent use of a credit card by Detective Shane Dengel.
• Julian Calcese, 33, of Asbury Park, was arrested in the area of abridge Avenue on Aug. 19 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman Christopher Fuentes.
• David Dechert, 45, of Albrightsville, PA, was arrested in the area of Bridge Avenue on Aug. 19 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman Frank Metta.
• Anthony Aguilar-Luna, 18, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Catherine Street on Aug. 18 and charged with criminal mischief by Patrolman Andrew Todd.
Alberto Whittington, age 63 of Red Bank was arrested on 08/16/2025 in the area of Shrewsbury Av. for DWI and Refusal by Ptl. Preston Mellaci.
• Joseph Abbate, 32, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Spring Street on Aug. 18 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) and prohibited weapons/devices by Payrolman Christopher Fuentes.
• Darrick Jones, 37, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Rector Place on Aug. 18 and charged with simple assault by Patrolman Tanner Shea.
• Stephen Hicks, 44, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of White Street on Aug. 16 and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and obstruction of administration of law by Patrolman Luke Cahill.
• Daniel Ramos, 53, of Red Bank, was arrested on in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Aug. 13 and charged with theft, possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman James McGee.
• Sean Vanglahn, 35, of Keansburg, was arrested in the area of Bridge Avenue on Aug. 13 and charged with hindering apprehension and contempt of court by Patrolman Andrew Todd.
• Shane Vanglahn, 28, of Keansburg, was arrested in the area of W. Bergen Place on Aug. 13 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and contempt of court by Patrolman James McGee.
• Bryan Ortega-Cardoso, 22, of Woodbridge, was arrested in the area of Navesink River Road on Aug. 10 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) and possession of drug paraphernalia Patrolman James McGee.
• Nelson Diaz, 57, of Long Branch, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Aug. 10 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and contempt of court by Patrolman Luke Cahill.
• Alejandro Guerrero, 34, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Bridge Avenue on Aug. 4 and charged with unlawful possession of weapons and terrorist threats by Patrolman Darren McConnell.
• Vera Ibrahim, 50, of Tinton Falls, was arrested in the area of Maple Avenue on Aug. 3 and charged with simple assault by Patrolman Taylor Doremus.
• Uriel Garcia-Lopez, 41, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Willow Street on Aug. 3 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Preston Mellaci.
