Police Report: Harassment, Theft, DWI

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• There was a report of harassment in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Aug. 31. The victim reported that threatening phone calls were made to their place of employment.

Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro is investigating.

• There was a report of a prescription pad theft in the area of Avenue at the Commons on Aug. 29. The victim reported that unknown subject(s) removed a prescription pad to obtain unauthorized medication.

Patrolman Derek Myers is investigating.

Arrests

• John H. Schwinn, 52, of Tinton Falls, was arrested on Aug. 29 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Special Law Enforcement Officer Kyle Ludwig.

• Brooke A. McDermott, 19, of Long Branch, was arrested Aug. 31 in the area of White Street and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Special Law Enforcement Officer Kyle Ludwig.

• Peter Delamos, 77, of Tinton Falls, was arrested on Aug. 28 on a contempt of court (COC) warrant in the area of Sycamore Avenue by Sgt. Tracy Polk.

• Abraham L. Diaznieto, 51, of Long Branch, was arrested on Aug. 28 on a contempt of court (COC) warrant in the area of Sycamore Avenue by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro.
