Police Report: Burglary, Theft, Criminal Mischief

The following recent criminal incidents were reported by Red Bank police:

• A burglary at a Chestnut Street residence was reported on July 4. The victim reported that three people entered his residence and stole several items, including jewelry and clothing valued at approximately $2,000.

Patrolman Nicholas Maletto took the report.

• An incident of criminal mischief was reported to have occurred on W. Sunset Avenue on July 4. The victim reported that damages were caused to his vehicle by an unknown person. The driver’s side mirror was damaged, causing approximately $200 in repairs.

• The theft of a prescription pad from a doctor’s office on Maple Avenue was reported. The victim reported that the prescription pad was taken by someone who had visited the office on June 28.

• The theft of a check book from a vehicle parked on E. Bergen Place was reported on June 28.

Patrolman David Smith took the report.

• An incident of criminal mischief was reported to have occurred at a Shrewsbury Avenue business on June 28. The victim reported that the glass door had been shattered, but no entry was made and all appeared to be in order.

Patrolman Benjamin Springer took the report.

• A burglary was reported to have occurred on June 28 at a business on Shrewsbury Avenue. It was reported that the business was entered after subjects smashed a window with a piece of asphalt then entered and stole various items from the store.

Sgt. David Hicks took the report.

• An incident of criminal mischief was reported to have occurred on June 23. The victim reported that someone sprayed fire extinguishers throughout the offices of his West Front Street business.

• A burglary in the area of River Road was reported to have occurred on June 20. The victim reported that someone entered his closed garage and stole a custom bicycle valued at $750.
