The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
Criminal Incidents
• There was a report of an identity theft in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Jan. 29. The victim reported that an unknown person falsified documents to purchase a vehicle.
Patrolman Derek Myers is investigating.
• There was a report of theft by deception in the area of Broad Street on Jan. 28. The victim reported that fraudulent currency was passed.

• A shoplifting in the area of Broad Street was reported on Jan. 27.
Sgt. Tracy Polk is investigating.
• A shoplifting of $1,797.50 worth of merchandise from a business in the area of Broad Street was reported on Jan. 21.
Patrolman Ralph Latham is investigating.
Arrests
• Suzanne T. Berger, 56, of Tinton Falls, was arrested in the area of Sycamore Avenue on Jan. 31 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Tyler Fox.
• Kattie L. Mino, 20, of College Point, NY, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Jan. 30 and charged with forgery by Patrolman Michael Zibrin.
• Keanu D. Whitfield, 24, of Queens, NY, was arrested on in the area of Broad Street on Jan. 30 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance by Patrolman Michael Zibrin.
• Juan G. Alvarado-Ibaceta, 30, of Bronx, NY was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Jan. 23 and charged with shoplifting and contempt of court by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro.
