The New Jersey State Police is seeking the public’s assistance in an animal cruelty investigation that occurred on the Garden State Parkway South, near milepost 119.4 on the local roadway in Aberdeen Township, Monmouth County.
On Feb. 27 at approximately 11 a.m., troopers responded to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority’s Telegraph Hill Maintenance Yard on a report of animal cruelty. NJTA maintenance workers had recovered four large Retriever brand dog food bags on the Garden State Parkway South, near milepost 119.4, containing the remains of four deceased brown canines.
Further investigation revealed that the four canines were Pitbull mixes and had injuries consistent with dog fighting.
