In Memoriam: Lifetime Sea Bright Resident, Bill Rain, 70

Lifetime Sea Bright resident, Bill Rain, passed away. He was 70.

“It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our brother, Bill … You could find him most mornings walking the sea wall in his beloved Sea Bright. Bill was born to Virginia and William Rain and resided his whole life in Sea Bright.

“He retired from the Sea Bright Police Force after a long career. Bill was very active in the Sea Bright Fire Department and found great pleasure in keeping his friends and neighbors safe.

“He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.”

Bill is survived by: his sister, Virginia Herman, and her husband, Robert; two nephews, Robert Herman and his wife, Jennifer, and Thomas Herman and his wife, Laurie; and three nephews and nieces, Ryan, Ella and Elijah.

A celebration of life will take place on Tuesday, March 31, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St., Red Bank. In lieu of flowers a donation to Sloan Kettering Cancer Hospital may be made in his honor.
