It’s summertime in post-pandemic times and DWI checkpoints, run by the Monmouth County DWI Task Force and local police, are operating just about every weekend in Monmouth County. This weekend, there are two set to run from 10 p.m. Friday through 2 a.m. on Sunday.

On Friday, Aug. 4, in Freehold Township …
From 10 p.m. on Friday to 2 a.m. on Saturday, vehicles headed north on Route 9 will be diverted into the Juniper Plaza complex where drivers will be screened for sobriety.
On Saturday, Aug. 5, in Keyport …
From 10 p.m. on Saturday to 2 a.m. on Sunday, all vehicles headed south on Route 36 will be diverted into the Stop & Shop plaza where drivers will be screened for sobriety.
