From the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office …

The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will be conducting two DWI checkpoints this weekend.

The first checkpoint will be tonight, Friday, July 8, beginning at 10 p.m. and ending at 2 a.m. on Saturday morning , in Brielle. All southbound vehicles on Route 71 will be pulled into the Brielle Municipal lot.

The second checkpoint will be Saturday, July 9, beginning at 10 p.m. and ending at 2 a.m. on Sunday morning, in Holmdel. All southbound vehicles on Route 35 will be diverted into the Dearborn Farms parking lot.

During both checkpoints, local police officers will work alongside Task Force members to determine the sobriety of drivers contacted.
