Police Report: Theft, Forgery, Shoplifting, Theft by Deception

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• There was a report of forgery and theft by deception in the area of Brady Road on March 5. The victim reported that someone used fraudulent checks in the amount of $314.42 to get funds.

Patrolman Mary Ellen Rumola is investigating.

• A theft in the area of Obre Place was reported on March 2. The victim reported that someone removed property.

Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro is investigating.

Arrests

• Stephen J. Stanzione, 56, of Hazlet, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on March 2 and charged with shoplifting and contempt of court by Sgt. Jessica Boyd.

• Theresa A. Hester, 51, of Keyport, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on March 2 and charged with shoplifting by Sgt. Jessica Boyd.

** Police reported five arrests solely on contempt of court warrants.**
