Police Report: Contempt, Crack Cocaine & More

The following recent arrests on contempt warrants and other charges were made and reported by Middletown police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

• Paul Maclear, 45, of Palmer Avenue in Middletown, was arrested on Dec. 17 by Patrolman Raymond Sofield on a non-support warrant issued by the Monmouth County Superior Court.

He was held pending a court date.

• Curtis Sullivan, 29, of Palmer Avenue in Middletown, was arrested on Dec. 18 by Patrolman Ryan Maguire on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Monmouth County Superior Court.

He was held pending a court date.

• Tyler Wells, 24, of White Street in Eatontown, was arrested on Dec. 18 by Cpl. Richard Fusella on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Eatontown Municipal Court.

He was released after posting $2,000 bail.

• Karl Broberg, 42, of Louis Lane in Fair Haven, was arrested on Dec. 18 by Patrolman Antonio Ciccone on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.

He was released after posting $250 bail.

• Jeanne Walpole, 46, of Seabreeze Avenue in Middletown, was arrested on Dec. 20 by Patrolman John Soltysik on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.

She was held on $750 bail.

• Deborah Dargan, 37, of Division Street in Atlantic Highlands, was arrested on Dec. 20 by Patrolman Daniel Benbrook and charged with driving while intoxicated and on contempt of court warrants issued by the Fair Haven, Eatontown, Shrewsbury, Sea Bright, and Middletown municipal courts.

She was released after posting $1,500 bail.

• Howard Eastmond, 35, of Thompson Avenue in Middletown, was arrested on Dec. 21 by Patrolman Frank Mazza on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Union Beach Municipal Court.

He was released after posting $1,328 bail.

• Brian Werner, 19, of Hudson Avenue in Middletown, was arrested on Dec. 21 by Patrolman Kent Thornton on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Keansburg Municipal Court.

He was released after posting $500 bail.

• Alexander Williams, 19, of First Avenue in Atlantic Highlands, was arrested on Dec. 21 by Cpl. Bernie Chenoweth on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.

He was released after posting $1,000 bail.

• George McNulty, 46, of South End Avenue in Middletown, was arrested on Dec. 22 by Patrolman Michael Heaton on contempt of court warrants issued by the Middletown and Wall municipal courts.

He was held on $1,096 bail.

• Michael Moore, 20, from Walnut Street in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, was arrested on Dec. 22 by Patrolman Richard Belmonte on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Bass River Municipal Court.

He was held on $274 bail.

• Michael Kearns, 19, of Topsail Road in Brick, was arrested on Dec. 23 by Patrolman Ricardo Cruz on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.

He was released after posting $250 bail.

• Joseph Connor, 26, of Glenloch Street in Philadelphia, PA, was arrested on Dec. 24 by Patrolman Nicholas Haines and charged with obstructing a public passage, disorderly conduct, obstructing the administration of law and on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.

He was released after posting $500 bail.

• Valerie Rogers, 51, of Clubhouse Drive in Middletown, was arrested on Dec. 24 by Police Officer Tara Stucy on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Manalapan Municipal Court.

She was released after posting $290 bail.

• Anthany Grant, 29, of Main Street in Port Monmouth, was arrested on Dec. 27 by Patrolman Daniel Benbrook and charged with possession of crack cocaine and on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.

He was held on $25,483 bail set by Judge James Berube.

• John Whikehart, 40, of Brentwood Avenue in Toms River, was arrested on Dec. 29 by Patrolman Savvas Roumeliotis on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court.

He was released after posting $500 bail.

• Kyle Drust, 23, of Seabreeze Avenue in Middletown, was arrested on Dec. 30 by Detective Keith Hirschbein on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Hazlet Municipal Court.

He was held on $851 bail.

• Garrett Baum, 18, of Lombardi Court in Middletown, was arrested on Dec. 31 by Patrolman Richard Belmonte on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Holmdel Municipal Court and possession of under 50 Grams of marijuana.

He was held on $1,000 bail.
