Police Report: Burglary, Theft, Shoplifting, DWI, Criminal Mischief

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• There was a report of a shoplifting at Vineyard Vines, Broad Street on Oct. 25. The victim reported that someone stole $493.50 worth of merchandise.

Patrolman Kyle Ludwig is investigating.

• There was a report of theft by deception in the area of Glorney Street on Oct. 26. The victim reported that someone obtained credit card information in order to make fraudulent purchases.

Patrolman Joseph Barnicle is investigating.

• There was a report of criminal mischief in the area of Brady Road on Oct. 29. The victim reported that unknown subjects damaged a vehicle.

Patrolman Angel Marrero is investigating.

• There was a report of attempted burglary in the area of Beechwood Drive on Nov. 1. The victim reported that an unknown subject attempted to enter the residence.

Patrolman Derek Myers is investigating.

• There was a report of a shoplifting at Marshalls, Broad Street, on Nov. 6/ The victim reported that merchandise was stolen by unknown subjects.

Arrests
• Nicholas A. Tomato, 26, of Eatontown, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Nov. 9 and charged with burglary and contempt of court by Sgt. Jessica Boyd.
• Latifah Dabbs, 25, of Bronx, NY, was arrested in the area of Monroe Avenue and charged with shoplifting by Patrolman Ryan Cullinane.
• Syiesha Jackson, 24, of Mt. Vernon, NY. was arrested in the area of Monroe Avenue on Nov. 8 and charged with shoplifting by Patrolman Ryan Cullinane.

• Niya Isabell, 27, of White Plains, NY, was arrested in the area of Monroe Avenue on Nov. 8 and charged with shoplifting by Patrolman Ryan Cullinane.

• Melvin J. Witschi, 50, of Fords, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Oct. 29 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI)  by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.
