Scene Around: RFH Show Time

They’re creepy, kooky and what’s altogether ooky is that tickets for Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School’s (RFH) Addams Family spring musical, which opens on Friday, are selling like the surge of electricity that lights Uncle Fester’s mouth-held lightbulb.

In fact, they’re no longer available online, but RFH PAS wants all to know that tickets will still be sold at a the high school box office, which will be open one hour before each show. Performances are set for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 22, 23 and 24. Curtain for Friday and Saturday performances is 7:30 p.m. and Sunday’s matinee begins at 1.

The cast is, no doubt, enthusiastic about the staging of this “banner idea” of a show, as John Astin’s Gomez used to say on the TV show. To show that enthusiasm, they posed in front of the local “banner” of information, the Fair Haven firehouse marquee. The bridge is no longer an option. They have mimicked the original cast with like costuming and a touch of their own personalities. Cast member and Tower Player Jacob German even shaved his head and eyebrows in a dual effort to raise awareness and money for Tourette’s syndrome and look like the authentic Uncle Fester for the show.

Addams Family trivia question: Do you know who played Thing on the TV series?

In the meantime, we give the cast a hand and wish them good luck for another RFH opening, another show!
