Prosecutor: One Motorcyclist Dead,One Injured in Wednesday Accident

A male motorcycle rider has been injured and a female passenger has died as the result of an accident on Wednesday evening in Aberdeen, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni said on Thursday.

Charles G. Romer, 21, of Carteret, and his passenger, Jessica Czajkowski 20, of Woodbridge, were riding a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle northbound on Amboy Road. As they approached the intersection of Prospect Avenue, they struck a 2004 Nissan Sentra, driven by Hugo Bautista Eufracio Alejandro, 49, of Keyport, at 8:03 p.m. Both riders were ejected from the motorcycle and one sustained life-threatening injuries.

Romer and Czajkowski were both taken to local hospitals. Czajkowski was pronounced dead at the hospital at 8:42 p.m.

Alejandro sustained non-life threatening injuries, was taken to the hospital, treated and released. 

The crash remains under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, and Aberdeen Police Department and the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART).
