Police Report: Theft of Services, Forgery, DWI, CDS

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• There was a report of theft of services in the area of Newman Springs Road on Jan. 2. The victim reported that an unknown person obtained services using fraudulent checks totaling $1,800.

Patrolman Derek Myers is investigating.

• A forgery in the area of Broad Street was reported on Dec. 31. The victim reported that someone attempted to obtain funds using fraudulent documents.

Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro is investigating.

Arrests

• Ryan M. Lilore, 29, of Lanoka Harbor, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Jan. 4 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.

• Tristan J. Garrity, 22, of Sea Bright, was arrested in the area of Broad Street on Jan. 4 and charged with theft by deception by Patrolman Tyler Fox.

• Roger A. Sanchez-Ascuncion, 18, of Long Branch, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Jan. 3 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) by Patrolman Kyle Ludwig.

• Brian M. Collins, 33, of Roselle, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Dec. 30 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.

• Cheryl M. Waivada, 48, of Tinton Falls, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Dec. 29 and charged with shoplifting by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.
