Police Report: Theft, Credit Card Fraud, DWI, CDS, Weapons Possession

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Shrewsbury police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• There was a report of credit card fraud in the area of Broad Street on Jan. 7. The victim reported that an unknown person obtained credit card information to make $834 worth of fraudulent purchases.

Patrolman Derek Myers is investigating.

• There was a report of credit card fraud in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Jan. 11. The victim reported that someone obtained credit card information to make $148 worth of fraudulent purchases.

• A theft in the area of Broad Street was reported on Jan. 5. The vicim reported that $500 worth of property was stolen.

Patrolman Tyler Fox is investigating.

Arrests

• Daryl Dash, 34, of Keansburg, was arrested on Jan. 11 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), unlawful possession of a weapon, and causing or risking widespread injury or damage.

• Brian J. Ramirez, 25, of Edison, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Jan. 8 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) by Patrolman Joseph Barnicle.

• Kenneth B. Eagel, 63, of Elberon, was arrested in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on Jan. 5 and charged with shoplifting by Patrolman Ralph Latham.

• Indiana S. Morton, 25, of Asbury Park, was arrested in the area of Sycamore Avenue on Jan. 5 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Daniel DeCristofaro.
