Police Report: Robbery, Burglary, Theft, Criminal Mischief

The following criminal incidents were reported by Red Bank police:

• A burglary at a Leighton Avenue residence was reported on Aug. 9. The victim reported that entry was gained into his residence land approximately $360 worth of video game equipment was stolen.

• A robbery was reported on Aug. 8. The victim reported that while in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue, he was approached by two unknown black males. He reported that they assaulted him and stole his wallet and cell phone.

• The theft of a German style seven-speed bicycle, valued at $600, from a River Road property was reported on Aug. 8. The victim believes that the theft occurred within the last two weeks.

• The theft of a Fed-Ex package containing items valued at approximately $500 from a Bergen Place porch was reported on Aug. 5.

Lt. Robert Clayton took the report.

• An incident of criminal mischief — graffiti to numerous motor vehicles parked in the area of Leighton Avenue — was reported on Aug. 2. The subject(s) in question deployed the paint throughout the evening causing an undetermined amount of damages.

Patrolman Nicholas Maletto took the report.

• A robbery was reported on July 31. The victim was allegedly assaulted in the area of S. Pearl Street by four black males and reported that his wallet containing roughly $500 in cash was stolen along with an orange Mogoose bicycle.

• A theft at a Riverside Avenue business was reported on July 26. The victim reported that a wallet containing numerous documents was taken from a table.

• A burglary at an East Bergen Place residence was reported on July 26. The victim reported that someone entered the residence and removed several pieces of jewelry, valued at $800, at an undetermined time.

• An incident of criminal mischief on Catherine Street was reported on July 30. The victim reported damages (scratches along the driver’s side), to a parked motor vehicle. The victim believes that the damage occurred during the prior evening.

• An incident of criminal mischief was reported on July 31. The victim reported that someone had damaged the tires of a vehicle parked in the area of Tilton Avenue with a sharp object.
