Police Report: Attempted Murder, Theft, Drugs, DWIs

The following criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Red Bank police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of W. Westside Avenue was reported on Oct. 29. the victim reported that window on the entry door of a residence, valued at $50, was broken.

• A theft during an event at a Maple Avenue business was reported on Oct. 22. The victim reported that several personal checks, amounting to $1,200, were stolen.

Patrolman Kristin Altimari took the report.

• An incident of criminal mischief in the area of Harding Road was reported on Oct. 20. The victim reported that a car struck a retaining wall on a property, causing an estimated $1,200 to $1,500  in damages.

Patrolman Cevin Albert took the report.

• A robbery was reported in the area of Bridge Avenue on Oct. 17. The victim reported that three black males stole his wallet containing $17 in cash, a NJ driver’s license and a debit card.

Arrests

• Inow Rainey, 25, of Tinton Falls, was arrested on Oct. 31 on charges in connection with an incident that happened on Nov. 6, 2014 in the area of W. Sunset Avenue. The charges were:  attempted murder, criminal attempt, unlawful possession of a handgun, and person unauthorized to have a handgun by Inv. James DePonte.

• Silviano Pena-Sanchez, 22, of Red Bank, was arrested on Oct.30 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and hindering apprehension by Patrolman Garrett Falco.

• Shane L. Jones, 25, of Asbury Park, was arrested on Oct. 30 in the area of Broad Street and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and contempt of court (COC) by Patrolman Garrett Falco.

• Michael Souviney, 28, of Long Branch, was arrested on Oct. 29 in the area of Monmouth Street and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession of two hypodermic needles and contempt of court by Patrolman Cevin Albert.

• Edmund A. Scattaglia, 40, of Middletown, was arrested on Oct. 28 in the area of W. Front Street and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Stanley Balmer.

• Amy Matheny, 47, of Red Bank, was arrested on Oct. 24 in the area of Water Street and charged with shoplifting by Patrolman Gary Watson Jr.

• Luke Vinvi, 23, of Red Bank, was arrested on Oct. 23 in the area of W. Front Street and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Kristin Altimari.

• Keith D. Simmonds, 28, of Asbury Park, was arrested on Oct. 22 in the area of Globe Court and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) and possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman Jhonathan Quispe.

• Terry N. Haupt, 33, of Red Bank, was arrested on Oct. 21 in the area of W. Front Street and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Jorge Torres.

• Lamar T. Hicks, 31, of Red Bank, was arrested on Oct. 21 in the area of Newman Springs Road and charged with disorderly conduct by Patrolman Nicholas Maletto.

• Barbara A. Christy, 33, of Red Bank, was arrested on Oct. 20 in the area of Route 35 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by Patrolman Stanley Balmer.

• Aaron Varela-Serrano, 21, of Red Bank, was arrested on Oct. 19 in the area of W. Bergen Place and charged with possession of marijuana by Patrolman Jhonathan Quispe.

• Juan Carlos Bonilla, 27, of Red Bank, was arrested on Oct. 18 in the area of  E. Newman Springs Road and charged with shoplifting by Patrolman Ashon Lovick.

Contempt of Court

• Misael Linares-Hernandez, 21, of Tinton Fall,s was arrested on Oct. 29 in the area of Monmouth Street on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Shane Dengel.

• Michael Keating, 42, of Holmdel, was arrested on Oct. 28 in the area of W. Front Street on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman George Travostino.

• Daryl Giannone, 28, of Ocean, was arrested on Oct. 28 in the area of N. Bridge Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by OFC Darren McConnell.

• William A. Woods, 75, of E. Orange, was arrested on Oct. 28 in the area of Shrewsbury Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant  by Patrolman Shane Dengel.

• Victor Rosas-Garcia, 25, of Red Bank, was arrested on Oct. 28 in the area of Monmouth Street on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Shane Dengel.

• Sean M. Dickey, 44, of Middletown, was arrested on Oct. 27 in the area of Monmouth Street on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by Patrolman Dawn Shields.

• Nadine Meurer-Rystrom, 61, of Long Branch, was arrested on Oct. 27 in the area of Bridge Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by OFC Darren McConnell.

• Julian Bolanos, 40, of Nutley, was arrested on Oct. 25 in the area of Riverside Avenue on a contempt of court (COC) warrant by OFC Michael Baron.
